Event Details

America’s senior population, which currently accounts for over twenty-six percent of the total population, is expected to grow significantly over the next decade. As life spans increase, how will this segment of the population and their needs shape public policy, political outcomes, and family life in the United States? This briefing, presented by National Journal and The Atlantic, and underwritten by Allstate, will examine the social, cultural and political implications of longer life spans.

The latest Heartland Monitor Poll, the eleventh in a series of groundbreaking surveys, will serve as discussion driver and will gauge Americans’ perspectives on aging and retirement.
